Who do we serve?

Mo Tennis Coaching is based in St. Petersburg, Florida, with a mission to make tennis more accessible—especially for African Americans who have historically faced barriers to the sport. While open to all, we focus on creating an inclusive, welcoming, and affordable environment where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy the game.

What are the benefits of playing tennis?

Tennis is a powerful sport for both mind and body. It builds fitness through fast-paced movement and agility while sharpening mental focus, strategy, and quick decision-making. Beyond physical and mental benefits, tennis also teaches discipline, sportsmanship, and resilience—skills that enrich life both on and off the court.

Testimonials

Buy This Book but even better-also come to St. Petersburg, Florida to the St. Pete Tennis Center and take a lesson with Mo.

I've been playing for about 25 years...started playing around age 30 (wish I had not waited so long.) I was always athletic in lots of sports, but tennis is like golf in that bad habits come quick and stay. Early on, I was smart enough to take lessons with a great pro (Stephen Miguel) and quickly, I developed an above average, very powerful, closed stance forehand. But invariably, I had to be 'on' to kill with my forehand. Worse, I would struggle with pushers...I would blow up what should have been easy sitters.

Last week...I sought out Mo. Out the outset of the lesson he asked what I wanted to fix...so I explained my dilemma. I swear...5 minutes later he had me hitting open stance and with that, controlling my ball...with more spin and, when I want it, clearance.

This guy is a natural teacher who 'sees'. I said 'I want to save some time at the end of the lesson to write down my new Keys. He said, 'just buy the book...it, and much more, is all in there.'

Thanks for making time for me Mo.
